Description
MavCoat ESD is a static-dissipative coating engineered to meet ANSI/ESD S20.20, giving stray charge a controlled path to ground instead of a path through your product. Specify it where electrostatic discharge is a real liability: electronics assembly and test floors, server and data rooms, munitions handling, and anywhere flammable vapors or powders make an uncontrolled spark unacceptable. It installs as the finish layer of a grounded floor system — conductive grounding points and verified resistance readings are part of the job, not an afterthought. Like every Maverick coating, ESD ships clear by default — add the MavTints pigment of your choice at mix time (per the TDS the material must be tinted — 1 pint of MavTint goes in the mix), or order it factory-pigmented in any of our 15 stock colors. Surface prep matters as much as chemistry: mechanically profile the concrete, confirm it is clean, sound, and dry, and prime per the system spec before the ESD coat goes down. Applied thin at 2–3 wet mils, TDS coverage runs 600 sq ft per gallon, so one kit goes a long way. Pros pair it with MavPrime EP as the primer, MavCoat MVB beneath the system when slab moisture readings run high, and MavJoint JF for joint fill once the floor is in service.
