Description
Rigid coatings crack when the slab moves. MavCoat Flex doesn’t. This elastomeric epoxy formulation bridges hairline cracks and accommodates dynamic substrate movement, with elongation properties engineered for slabs subject to deflection and vibration — mezzanines, suspended slabs, floors near heavy rotating equipment, and substrates with active hairline cracking. You get the chemical resistance you expect from a Maverick epoxy without the brittleness that takes rigid systems out early. Like every Maverick coating, Flex ships clear by default — add the MavTints pigment of your choice at mix time, or order it factory-pigmented in any of our 15 stock colors. Surface prep is non-negotiable: mechanically profile the concrete and prime with MavPrime EP for a deep, moisture-tolerant bond before applying Flex. Per the TDS, coverage runs 53–80 sq ft per gallon at a 20–30 wet-mil build. Pros typically finish the system with a UV-stable topcoat such as MavSeal UPA for gloss retention and abrasion resistance in trafficked areas. One engineering note from our crew: if a troweled mortar body (MavClad EM or MavCrete) is going down over MavCoat Flex, broadcast aggregate to rejection into the Flex first — the mortar needs that bond profile. Sold as a 1.5-Gallon Kit — contractor / volume pricing available upon request. Team-built, field-proven, and made for the slabs everyone else walks away from.
