MavCoat SLE is our 100% solids self-leveling epoxy — the workhorse coating behind Maverick epoxy floor systems. Zero VOC by formulation, it flows out to a seamless, high-build film with the chemical resistance industrial and commercial floors actually need, and it is FDA compliant for regulated environments. SLE is a coating, and we use it three ways: as a primer, as a basecoat broadcast to rejection with aggregate or flake, or as the finished topcoat. It is not a fill material — keyways, coves, and voids belong to a trowel-applied mortar body like MavClad EM, never a coating. Surface prep is non-negotiable: mechanically profiled, clean concrete, primed with MavPrime EP for deep substrate bond. Pick your cure speed — Slow, Standard, or Fast — to match floor temperature and your return-to-service window, same price either way. Per the TDS, coverage runs 53–160 sq ft per gallon at 10–30 wet mils, depending on the build your spec calls for. Every kit ships clear by default: tint it on-site with MavTints pigments in the color your floor calls for, or order it factory-pigmented in any of our 15 stock colors, from Haze Gray to the full safety-color range. Pros pair SLE with MavPrime EP underneath, MavTints for color, and a MavSeal UPA topcoat where UV stability and abrasion resistance matter.
