MavCoat FC exists to kill downtime. It is a hybrid epoxy-polyurea rapid-cure base layer with exactly one job: go down at 16 mils DFT over prepped concrete and get broadcast to rejection — aggregate or flake seeded into the wet film until it takes no more — so the system topcoat has a mechanical interlock to bite into. It is never a standalone finish and never a topcoat; if FC isn’t being broadcast into, it’s the wrong product. As a thin-film coating system it returns floors to service in hours, not days — which is the whole point for grocery, retail, and production facilities where closed floor equals lost revenue. Surface prep still rules: mechanically profiled, clean, sound concrete before anything else. Per the TDS, coverage runs 100–533 sq ft per gallon at 3–16 wet mils — run the full 16 mils where moisture tolerance is in play. Note that troweled mortars and slope work are separate scope — where slope correction is required, that’s MavGrout USP, not FC. FC ships clear by default: tint it with MavTints pigments to match the system color, or order it factory-pigmented in any of our 15 stock colors. Pros pair FC with broadcast media and a MavSeal UPA polyaspartic topcoat for a UV-stable, fast-turnaround system; MavClad EM handles cove base on FC systems. Choose Slow, Standard, or Fast cure to match conditions — same price per option. Each kit packs 2 gallons of base and 1 gallon of activator per the TDS.
